| A weft-ikat cotton cepuk textile measuring 66" in length and 48" wide. Cepuk textiles have a ritual use all over Bali. They also always have a red background and weft-ikat patterning set within a rectangular grid. The arrowhead pattern known as gigi barong running down the sides of the cepuk translates as the 'teeth of the protective Barong spirit'. |
