| A very old Hemba janiform figure from the people of the DRC ~ formerly Zaire. These figures were called Kabeja and were used to embody the spiritual power of the founding ancestral couple who were invoked to protect their owners from disease and misfortune. This Hemba janiform figure measures 14" in height and 5 3/4" in diameter. |
