| A fine old Nupe terracotta vessel from the people of Nigeria. Pottery is one of the oldest arts of Africa and the Nupe have a long and significant history of ceramic making. The sophisticated use of etched or applied line on the surface of the vessel is one of the most distinguishing features of African ceramics. This old Nupe vessel measures 13 1/2" in height and 16 1/2" in diameter. |
